John is a Master Practitioner Systemic Team Coach, an accredited Executive Coach (Association for Coaching), and an accredited Coach Supervisor (Coaching Supervision Academy). John’s approach is down-to-earth and personable, grounded in attentiveness and curiosity. His clients describe him as engaging, positive, and purposeful—stretching, challenging, and thought-provoking, while also relaxed, calm, and easy to work with. He draws on the 5 Disciplines Model (Hawkins & Shohet) to help teams create value for their stakeholders.

He has worked in leadership development and coaching for the past 17 years. John served as a Board Director of the Academy of Executive Coaching for four years, stepping down in 2024, and continues to hold a faculty role there—teaching on the groundbreaking Systemic Team Coaching Certificate and Diploma Programmes.

John is a Fellow Member of the Association for Coaching, with over 2,500 hours of executive and team coaching experience. He has had the opportunity to coach leaders and teams across more than 40 nationalities, bringing deep cultural breadth and insight to his work across the private, public, and third sectors. He is experienced in working in person, virtually, and in hybrid formats.

A firm believer in the natural resourcefulness of people and teams, John maintains that—given the right conditions—they can do exceptional work, overcome challenges, and add meaningful value. However, he recognizes that a skilled catalyst is often needed to unlock this potential.

John’s years of professional experience, combined with his deep coaching expertise and a curious, empathetic approach, enable him to support individuals and teams in navigating complexity and achieving impact.
